Playing for a Purpose

Colorado Springs Mountain Lions started in 2017 with an 8U team. The goal in mind was to teach baseball in a way that built confidence through competition. The Mountain Lions expect every player to work their best everyday.

We have three rules for all players!

1. Listen

2. Hustle

3. Have Fun!

When we Listen with a purpose and value what our coaches are trying to execute, we will build better relationships and in turn become better ball players.

If we Hustle at everything we do we will always be ahead in life. This is not exclusive to the baseball field, we want to build bright and brilliant young men. Our focus is on lives and relationships, respecting everyone, and being a great human being.

Many things can be taught on the baseball field and this could be the most important. - Have Fun!

Baseball is a game, when we Listen, and Hustle it makes it much easier to Have Fun! The quicker we move around on the field the more time we will have to learn new things, play new games, and spend time with our best friends!

In the end kids will remember who they played with, they will remember forging great relationships a lot more than how many games they won or lost from the ages of 8-15.

Does that mean we do not want to win? No! We just want to do it the right way!

In 2018 we not only expanded but we also achieved success. Our 8u team improved exponentially throughout the year. Our 9u team placed 2nd in CABA State, our 10u, 11u, and 13u Teams walked away with a tournament championships!   

In 2019 we are expanding even more with 6 teams ranging from 8u-14u (With the exception of 13u)

in 2023, we will have a record number 12 teams! 2 each from 9U-14U.

We play with our original goal in mind!
